Ritzy Rags ... How it's done




First stop is the receiving room where all the donated clothes are brought and sorted in to like colors.




Next there washed in the laundry room to make sure they are clean.




Next the clothes are shredded to make it possible to use in the giant looms.




There are several looms able to make several items per day.




The clothing stryps are woven on the looms in various patterns to eventually make what you see below.




All of these are samples. Some will be rugs, some will be hand bags. They will sell these online through their website (soon to be launched) which in turn will allow wages to be paid to the homeless ( actually formerly homeless since they are living in apartments) to receive a steady pay check and to learn various job skills.
